What is DASH Research IRB?
DASH Research IRB (DR-IRB) is the new electronic submission system that is slated to replace the iMedRIS system in early November. DR-IRB will have many differences from the iMedRIS system. These include a more stable platform, streamlined submission options and the use of Word Documents instead of browser-based applications. The IRB welcomes researchers to sign-up to provide feedback on the platform, review protocol templates, or request additional educational information.
NEWS
DASH Research IRB Go-Live Date Moved to Early November
To ensure a smooth and successful launch, the go-live date for the DASH Research IRB (DR-IRB) system has been moved to early November.
This adjustment means that DR-IRB and the planned blackout dates in iMedRIS will be revised, and IRB review will continue to operate according to normal submission timelines.
Our team is working with DASH project leadership in order to establish updated timelines and dates. Please continue to watch your email, the HRPP website, and the DASH Research IRB website for more information.
Data Migration:
When the time comes for data migration to the DASH Research IRB system (now targeted for early November 2025), updated guidance and dates for transitioning from iMedRIS will be provided. Details about system access and submission timelines will be shared as they are finalized.
In preparation, please note that protocols in iMedRIS with a status of “Approved” or “Closed to Enrollment: Analysis Only” will be migrated to DR-IRB. This includes all associated documents marked as “Approved” within those studies.
To easily identify which of your studies will be included in the migration, navigate to the “All Projects” heading at the bottom of the iMedris homepage. Only projects listed as “Approved” or “Closed to Enrollment: Analysis Only” will be transitioned. A screenshot is provided below to help identify those projects:
Projects with any other status will not be migrated and will need to be submitted as a new submission in DR-IRB once the system is live.
