John Sorochan
John Sorochan, co-director of the Center for Athletic Field Safety and Distinguished Professor of turfgrass science and management at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, was interviewed Nov. 11 on The Hallerin Hilton Hill Show on News Talk 98.7, WOKI-FM in Knoxville. The interview is part of a series Hill is producing with a focus on the impactful research being conducted at UT and the faculty members behind that work.
Sorochan is an expert in the development, setup, and upkeep of attractive and durable golf courses, sports turf, and commercial and home lawn turf. In this interview, he explains his current research, which focuses on reducing the negative effects of stressors like drought, shade, and traffic on turfgrass.
