Amy Elias, Chancellor’s Professor, Distinguished Professor of English and director of the Humanities Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, was interviewed Sept. 29 on “The Hallerin Hilton Hill Show” on News Talk 98.7, WOKI-FM in Knoxville. The interview is part of a series Hill is producing with a focus on the impactful research being conducted throughout UT and the faculty behind the work.
In this episode, Elias speaks about her internationally recognized research in English concerning dialogue and how the arts and humanities facilitate it in unique ways and with unique forms. She highlights the research that has translated into her work as director of the Humanities Center and how the arts and humanities can bring expertise to STEM fields and community contexts.
