Hungary Faculty Fulbright Fellowship Workshop, Info Sessions Announced

The Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development invites all faculty to attend a presentation about faculty Fulbright awards in Hungary.

The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program awards more than 800 fellowships annually for faculty members in all departments. With over 400 different types of opportunities available to teach, research, and conduct professional projects in more than 135 countries, this program offers international opportunities that can further your goals.

Zoom Presentation:

Karoly Jokay, the executive director of the Hungary Fulbright commission, will give a Zoom presentation on Wednesday, November 1 at 12:45 p.m. on the recently expanded Fulbright opportunities in Hungary. Jokay is especially interested in recruiting applicants from the broader Appalachian region.

If you are interested in attending this Zoom presentation, please RSVP to Alan Rutenberg, the campus faculty Fulbright advisor, at arutenberg@utk.edu no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, October 30.

Individual Meetings:

On Thursday, November 2, Karoly Jokay will also be available from 10-11 a.m. for brief individual meetings with interested applicants. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable feedback and collaborate with the director of a Fulbright commission.

If you are interested in having an individual, in-person meeting with Jokay, please notify Alan Rutenberg (arutenberg@utk.edu) as soon as possible. Individual meetings will be allocated in the order that requests are received.
