The next NSF Grants Conference will be May 18-19 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Faculty attending may request SARIF support from the Federal, Corporate, and Foundation Opportunity Fund from the Office of Research and Engagement, which covers 50% of travel expenses, up to a maximum reimbursement of $1,000.
The NSF Grants Conference can help introduce faculty who are new to NSF to agency priorities and current solicitations. In addition to proposal preparation and merit review workshops, there will be opportunities to meet program officers from each directorate. ORE recommends PIs talk with a program officer prior to submitting proposal. Having even a brief face-to-face meeting can be a useful way to initiate a connection with a program officer and allow them to put a face with a name.
Registration opens on Tuesday, March 17, at 12 pm; conference often reaches capacity in under an hour.
