Deb Crawford, vice chancellor for research at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, interviewed with Hallerin Hilton Hill on September 16 on the Hallerin Hilton Hill Show on News Talk 98.7, WOKI-FM. The interview is part of a series Hill is producing with a focus on the impactful research being conducted throughout UT and the faculty behind the work.
In this episode, Crawford speaks to the strength of the UT research portfolio: where it’s heading, and the critical role it plays in the state of Tennessee’s innovation economy. She also discusses which areas of research, in particular, are supporting the state, its technological innovation, and workforce development.
Crawford has a doctorate in information systems engineering from the University of Bradford and a BS in electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Glasgow, both in the United Kingdom.
