Training & Workshops

The Office of Research & Engagement Professional Development Program offers workshops in proposal development, grant writing, fellowship grants, and compliance free of charge for faculty, staff, and graduate students who are responsible for or interested in the requirements for funded research.

Please select one of the following areas:

  • ORE Workshops — Learning opportunities that help support faculty, staff, and students as they navigate the research enterprise. These workshops are taught by experienced Office of Research & Engagement staff.
  • Research Tools — Find information on software or electronic tools to aid in funding, proposal writing, or research compliance.
  • Compliance Training —Specialized online and face-to-face workshops for compliance training in the areas of IRB/Human Subjects, Export Control, Biosafety, Radiation Safety, and Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR). Contact if you need assistance with registering for the training.
  • Individual Development Plan (IDP) – An instrument that can assist both faculty and protégés with developing a formal structure to the mentoring process.
