The National Institute for STEM Evaluation and Research (NISER), is now the Synergy Evaluation Institute.
NISER was an applied research and evaluation center that specialized in STEM. As Synergy, the institute will continue to provide high-quality evaluation, applied research and professional and data science support to clients in academic, non-profit, private and public institutions.
In 2023, under the new leadership of director Elizabeth Oyer, staff engaged in strategic planning to realign with the institute’s emerging and evolving mission and vision. The team decided to update their branding to better reflect their identity after surveying the landscape of its current clients, the needs of the sector, and its position at UT and in regional, national and international landscapes.
