Graduates from the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, had one of the highest pass rates in the 2018 National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX)—97.2 percent.

This pass rate is higher than both the national average of 88.3 percent and the Tennessee average of 92.1 percent.

The test, administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, is used to determine which candidates are adequately prepared to enter real-life practice and work as registered nurses.
