The Latinx/e Engagement Community of Scholars involves a diverse group working collaboratively with community members to integrate community-based participatory methods, culturally-responsive strategies, state-of-the-art theory and methodology. Our primary goal is to cultivate applied and translational research activities aimed at fostering social integration, mental health and well-being, and overall thriving within the Latinx/e communities in Tennessee. We strive to comprehensively grasp the strengths, contributions, and needs of Latinx/e families and individuals. Additionally, we dedicate efforts to educating non-Latinx/e leaders and scholars about the valuable contributions of the Latinx/e community to the state and society. Through this understanding, we aim to develop and implement effective solutions that contribute to the thriving of Latinx/e communities.
