Workshop: USDA Proposal Development

The National Institute for Food and Agriculture, USDA, supports a variety of research, including:

  • Biotechnology
  • Microbial Genomics
  • Biotechnology Risk Assessment
  • Climate Studies
  • Precision, Geospatial & Sensor Technologies
  • Nanotechnology

This workshop will cover basics about the application and review process for the United States Department of Agriculture. Along with a discussion of the major components of a USDA proposal, the training will cover different types of USDA research awards and policies. The workshop will feature a panel of UT faculty who will discuss their experiences as USDA reviewers and grant recipients, along with representation from the UTIA Office of Sponsored Programs, and answer questions from workshop participants.
