This workshop will cover basics about the application and review process for the National Institutes of Health. Along with a discussion of the major components of an NIH proposal, the training will cover different types of NIH research awards, new and early stage investigator policies, and tips for directing your proposal to the correct NIH Institute/Center and Scientific Review Group. The workshop will feature a panel of UT faculty who will discuss their experiences as NIH reviewers and grant recipients, along with representation from the Faculty and/or Research Development Teams and the Office of Sponsored Programs.
