NSF Webinar: Empirical Modeling of Complex Systems
The National Science Foundation will host a webinar Thursday, March 3, at 12:30 p.m. titled, “Empirical Modeling of Complex Systems,” presented by Ramanathan Guha, the creator of widely used web standards such as RSS, RDF, and Schema.org. Guha is also responsible for Google Custom Search and was a cofounder of Epinions.com and Alpiri.

Webinar: Meet the Experts in NIH Peer Review for AREA/R15 Award Applicants
The Office of Research & Engagement would like to encourage submissions to the National Institutes of Health Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) Program (R15). This is a special pool of funding available to institutions that have not received more than $6 million per year in NIH support in four of the last seven years. ORE would like to invite potential applicants to attend a webinar presented by the NIH Center for Scientific Review entitled “Meet the Experts in NIH Peer Review for AREA/R15 Award Applicants,” which will teach applicants how to navigate the NIH peer review system and submit a strong R15 application.
