Kimberly Eck has been named director of the Research Development Team in the Office of Research and Engagement, effective October 17.
Eck joins the University of Tennessee from her position as associate vice president for research opportunities at the Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania.
In her role at Geisinger, Eck has been responsible for identifying external funding opportunities and developing the processes for communicating those to researchers and clinicians throughout the system. She also led the Office of Competitive Grants in her role as associate vice president for research development and coordinated with offices across GHS that engage external funders and support or administer sponsored projects to develop and submit successful proposals.
