Professional and Scholarly Development Awards (PSDA) in the Visual and Performing Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences for the 2017-18 academic year. These grants are intended to enable scholarship that leads to research opportunities, collaborations, book contracts, juried competitions, foundation grants, faculty annual awards, or journal papers in direct alignment with our Vol Vision 2020 goals. ORE anticipates being able to make up to 20 awards annually.

Confucius Institute of the University of Tennessee is now offering mini-grants to help fund your research or study proposal preparation.  By applying for these, you have the opportunity to receive a grant to help with all the prep work necessary to apply for the fellowships and research opportunities listed below.  With the main goals of developing a greater understanding of modern-day Chinese culture and fostering strong relationships between people in the U.S. and China, receiving a fellowship gives you the opportunity to proudly represent your university and the Confucius Institute while furthering your research and/or education.  The Confucius China Studies Program consists of six subprograms in the academic areas of Humanities and Social Sciences.
