Discovery Day

Office of Undergraduate Research hosted the poster session. Discovery Day is one of the first opportunities in the academic year to expose new Volunteers to the research culture and opportunities at the University of Tennessee. It also gives a chance for existing students to present the research they completed over summer break. 320 people stopped by to ask about these students’ research.

“Discovery Day highlights the awesome undergraduate research experiences available to our students during the summer months. Some students stayed at UT, others went to ORNL, and a few went to other universities to conduct research. By presenting, they are getting new students excited about what possibilities exist in research,” said Marisa Moazen, executive director of undergraduate research and outreach.
