The Office of Research and Engagement is partnering with UT faculty and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory to bring together potential collaborators who are interested in the Genes to Ecosystems Initiative underway at ORNL.
Specifically, this event will look at the research area with spotlights on three areas:
Genes to Traits: understanding the genes and pathways associated with specific phenotypes of complex organisms
Multi-scale Systems Modeling: predictive understanding of complex biological systems, from molecules to cells and beyond
Interspecies Interactions: mechanisms for signaling and symbiosis among organisms.
This special edition of the SPARKS (Seeking Partnerships for Research and Knowledge) event is scheduled for April 9, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the UT Visitor’s Center, 2712 Neyland Drive. Based on your research interests, you’ve been recommended to attend the event, and we hope it will fit into your busy calendar.
