The UT Knoxville Sigma Xi Chapter begins a series of professional development panels for graduate students (and interested undergraduates) with a discussion about graduate research proposals to the National Science Foundation. The panelists will discuss the following awards:
- Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)
- Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grants in the Directorate for Biological Sciences (DDIG)
The panel for this discussion includes Jordan Bush, graduate student in ecology and evolutionary biology; Graciela Cabana, associate professor of anthropology; and Todd Freeberg, professor and associate head of psychology. Panel members have successfully obtained these awards and/or served on NSF review panels for these awards, and will answer questions and discuss recommendations for NSF applications.
