Seven projects tapped for outreach seed grants

Seven campus proposals have been selected for the UT Knoxville 2013-14 Outreach and Incentive Grants, including projects in landscape architecture, social work, Judaic studies, legal literacy, writing transitions from high school to college, support for nonprofits, and naturalizing playgrounds.

A review panel made up of UT faculty and staff and community partners selected the seven from among 18 highly competitive proposals, said Elizabeth Burman, director of engagement for the UT Office of Research and Engagement. Each project will receive a seed grant of up to $2,000.
