Science Alliance Issues Call for Proposals for JDRD Program

The Science Alliance has issued a call for proposals for the FY17 JDRD program, with proposals due by 5 p.m. on December 5, 2016, with funding available on or around January 1, 2017.

The Science Alliance was formed to build and enhance relationships between University of Tennessee, Knoxville faculty and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) scientists. For the past 11 years the center has conducted the Jointly Directed Research and Development program (JDRD). The JDRD program places a priority on catalyzing new and deep collaborations between UT and ORNL, in new scientific or engineering areas, which otherwise would not be possible, typically in concert with ORNL laboratory directed R&D (LDRD) projects or ORNL seed projects.
