Call for Abstracts: Emerging Technologies for Aging and Dementia Research Symposium

The University of Tennessee is hosting a research symposium on Emerging Technologies for Aging and Dementia. Keynote speakers (listed below) will include NIH program officers. This event is sponsored by the International Dementia Scholars Collaborative (IDSC), the Pat Summitt Foundation, and the University of Tennessee. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Robotics
  • Digital Health
  • Wearable Sensors
  • Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
  • Internet of Things
  • Social Media
  • Edge Computing

Abstracts are currently being accepted for both oral/paper presentations and poster presentations. Abstracts must be submitted electronically as a PDF by March 31 to Joel Anderson (jande147@utk.edu). Abstracts are limited to 250 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations, and funding sources) and must include the following information: Background, Objective/Purpose, Theoretical Framework (if applicable), Methods/Approach, Results, and Conclusions. Please include with your abstract the following information: Title, authors, author credentials and affiliations, and any funding sources, if applicable. Please specify whether you prefer a poster or podium presentation.
