ORIED Announces Conflict of Interest Workshops

Conflicts of interest (COI) have the potential to threaten the integrity of the university’s research, scholarship, instruction, and administrative functions. In addition, many external funders require recipients to adhere to a COI policy and investigators on their projects to meet COI requirements. Knowledge and disclosure are key elements to ensure research integrity.

Topics covered will include sponsor requirements, University Policy, disclosure (including examples), managing potential conflicts, handling tricky situations, and resources at UT. The goal of the course is to provide faculty and students the knowledge and awareness to help protect their research results and keep their careers on track.

For students or faculty required to meet Public Health Service requirements (including investigators on National Health Institute projects) this course supplements the online CITI course.

All participants are required to register. A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants prior to the workshop.
