
Colonel Elena Oberg, Vice Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory
The Office of Research and Engagement will host Colonel Elena Oberg, Vice Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), during her visit UT to share information about AFRL’s new Science & Technology 2030 initiative, including current and future research opportunities with the Air Force, Tuesday, May 1.
Launched in September 2017 by Secretary of the US Air Force Heather Wilson, the 2030 initiative is in preparation of a new science and technology strategy that begins with outreach events like Oberg’s. AFRL has scheduled several such events at universities around the country to listen to “cutting-edge science and technology ideas for basic and applied research, as well as ideas on best practices to support innovative research organizations.”
