Opportunity to Meet with DARPA Program Managers

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office (DSO) is sponsoring a two-day Proposers’ Event on June 22-23, 2016near Washington, DC to prepare for an upcoming solicitation. As part of this event, invited principle investigators (PIs) will have an opportunity to meet individually with a program manager to discuss their research ideas. To be considered, a PI must submit a one-page white paper by March 31.

Find more details at fbo.gov.

For those who may not be familiar with DARPA, the agency focuses on high risk/high payoff research (basic and applied) and seeks “innovative approaches and technologies that enable revolutionary advances.”

The Office of Research and Engagement can offer some travel support to PIs who are invited to meet with a program manager. Please contact Paul Montgomery (paul.montgomery@utk.edu), director of federal relations, if you plan to submit a white paper and if you would like ORE assistance in preparing it.
