National Institutes of Health Researcher Joins College of Nursing

Lynda Hardy has joined UT’s College of Nursing as associate dean for research.

HardyHardy has extensive experience in research administration in the private and public sector, most recently serving as the senior program director of the National Institute of Nursing Research at the National Institutes of Health.

During this time Hardy was responsible for the development, coordination, and administration of grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts with a special focus on clinical trials, global health, infection, and noninfectious diseases across the lifespan.

“Dr. Hardy’s expertise in advancing nursing science in clinical and governmental agencies will bring new perspectives to the College of Nursing,” said Victoria Niederhauser, dean of the College of Nursing. “Her drive, energy, and passion for collaboration and research will strengthen our impact on health and health care in Tennessee and beyond.”
