Andrew Belt won the Outstanding Presentation Award at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Antonio. This conference is considered the largest mathematics meeting in the world, with more than 6000 participants.
Andrew is a Math Honors student, double majoring in math and physics. Andrew’s award is for a poster on joint work in kinetic theory (mathematical physics). He accomplished this during a Research Experience for Undergraduates last summer, at UCLA’s Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics.
