The UT Intersectionality Community of Scholars will be hosting “New Horizons in Intersectionality: Research, Policy, and Activism,” March 23-24. The symposium will open on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the McClung Museum with a screening of “Elementary Genocide 2,” featuring a conversation with the director, Rahiem Shabazz.
Thursday will be a full-day symposium at the UT College of Law. Keynote speakers include Elizabeth Cole, presenting “Building Brave Spaces, Coalitions Across Difference in Social Justice Work,” and Jennifer Nash, presenting “Notes for a ‘Critic,’ or Black Feminism Remixed.”
