As of Monday, August 11, researchers at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville can now submit their protocols electronically to the IRB office for review.
On September 1, 2014, the UT campus will complete its transition from paper to digital submissions for IRB protocols. Prior to that date, researchers may either choose to submit paper forms to the IRB office or they may log into the iMedRIS system and submit electronically.
After September 1st, new paper submissions will no longer be accepted.
The Office of Research and Engagement has loaded 708 studies and the related documentation. We ask that you take time to log into the system (https://imedris.uthsc.edu/) to verify your account information and the protocols related to your account. For instructions on logging in to the system, please our “Getting Started” guide.
iMedRIS requires a UT NetID and password to log in to the system. If you do not have one, have forgotten yours, or are working with someone who is not affiliated with UT, please see the “Obtaining a NetID and Password” guide.
Once in the system, go to the Study Assistant tab (on the left) and then select My Projects to ensure all of your currently active studies are there and that all key study personnel (KSP) are correctly associated with the project. If active study information is incorrect or unavailable, please contact the IRB office at (865) 974-2474 or email@example.com.
If your account information under the My Assistant tab is incorrect (address, phone number, etc.), faculty can correct it through the employee self-service portal at https://irisweb.tennessee.edu/irj/portal. Students can change this information online at https://myutk.utk.edu. A name change requires submitting a form to either the payroll office (faculty) or the registrar’s office (students).
Training sessions are available through the rest of August and September. You may register for any of the following classes at this link. If you are unable to make any of these sessions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for alternatives.
