Senate Sends $1.8T Spending Bill to Obama

The Hill reports that the Senate voted in favor of a $1.8 trillion spending bill Friday that will keep the government open through September 2016.

“The 65-33 vote effectively wraps up the congressional session for the year, with the House and Senate adjourning for the holiday recess.”

The package, which includes increases in funding for science research, has been sent to President Obama’s desk for his signature.
