Guggenheim head to visit campus, read poetry

The president of the Guggenheim Foundation will talk about applying for Guggenheim Fellowships and also read his poetry in a visit to campus on September 30, 2013. 

Edward Hirsch, the author of eight books of poems, will meet with UT faculty from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in room 405 of the Tickle Engineering Building to offer advice on applying for Guggenheim Fellowships. At 7 p.m. in the Lindsay Young Auditorium of the Hodges Library, he will give a public reading of his poetry and sign copies of his book.

Hirsch’s visit is part of the UT Humanities Center Lecture Series.
