Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research Engagement and Director of Undergraduate Research
Marisa Moazen joined the Office of Research and Engagement in 2014 from Oak Ridge Associated Universities, where she was responsible for connecting faculty and students from across the nation with research opportunities within the federal government. In her current position, she specializes in the creation of workforce development and community partnership programs. Moazen helps to encourage statewide institutional engagement and engaged scholarship by cultivating internal and external partnerships that provide opportunities for faculty to connect their research to civic and community needs. She also serves student researchers by coordinating campus-wide planning for graduate student and postdoc research training, as well as creating opportunities for students to participate in undergraduate research on and off campus.
