American Council of Learned Societies ACLS Public Fellows Fellowship places recent PhD from the humanities and humanistic social sciences in two-year staff positions at partnering organizations in government and the nonprofit sector.
Council of American Overseas Research Centers Multi-Country Research Fellowship Supports advanced regional or trans-regional research in the humanities, social sciences, or allied natural sciences for U.S. doctoral candidates and scholars who have already earned their Ph.D. The research must be carried out in at least one country that hosts a participating overseas research center.
Kettering Foundation Graduate Resident Research  Open to doctoral candidates and post-docs whose research interests include elements of democratic theory and practice.
National Science Foundation SBE Postdoctoral Research Fellowship The Fellowship has two tracks: (i) Broadening Participation (SPRF-BP), and (ii) Interdisciplinary Research in Behavioral and Social Sciences (SPRF-IBSS).

Smithsonian Institution Smithsonian Institution Fellows Open to graduate students, postdocs, and senior investigators. Fellows work with a Smithsonian advisor to conduct research relating to Smithsonian collections, facilities or staff expertise.
