Funding Opportunities, October 25

Institute for Research on Innovation and Science 2018 Awards

The Institute for Research on Innovation and Science (IRIS) is accepting proposals for their 2018 awards that will use the data they have collected from universities around the country to address questions about the social and economic returns to investments in research. Potential proposals may include but are not limited to: new methods for measuring such social and economic returns, studies that identify relationships between funding and productivity within research teams and the university as a whole, or the effect of academic funding on regional economic growth. Successful proposals will effectively demonstrate the use of IRIS data in addressing open issues in the study of science and technology and in science policy.

The full funding opportunity announcement along with the necessary application materials can be found here.

Applicants may be a doctoral candidate, an early career researcher, or an established researcher. This is not a limited submission; anyone who is qualified is welcome to apply. The application deadline is November 1. If you have any questions about this opportunity or would like assistance developing your proposal, please contact the Faculty Development Team at fdt@utk.edu.
