The Division of Student Life has announced the call for nominations for the Courage to Climb award. As a commitment to celebrating and supporting UT’s outstanding students, the Courage to Climb award seeks to recognize those who show promise in the areas of:
- Community service
- Promotion of civility and inclusion
- Leadership development and/or
- Campus involvement
These students are the rising stars of our campus and have made tremendous efforts towards any or all of the aforementioned categories. These students are impacting campus and the community in a variety of ways and the Division of Student Life wishes to recognize them for their contributions to UT and the Knoxville community.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit nominations. Based on the nominations received, the Division of Student Life will recognize one student per month beginning October 2014. Each student will be featured on the Division of Student Life website and will be invited to an end of year recognition event with the Vice Chancellor for Student Life, Vincent Carilli. This type of recognition further validates the importance of the student’s contributions to the University of Tennessee and the Division of Student Life.
