Collaborate Across Organizational Boundaries with SEC Visiting Faculty Travel Grant

Researchers often seek to achieve breakthroughs in their work by collaborating across disciplines. Sometimes it is just as helpful to reach across organizational boundaries by visiting another university.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) Visiting Faculty Travel Grant Program is intended to enhance faculty collaboration that stimulates scholarly initiatives between SEC universities.

The University of Tennessee and the Office of Research and Engagement funded nine professors through this program to travel to SEC schools of their choice and have the opportunity to exchange ideas, develop grant proposals, conduct research, consult with faculty and/or students, offer lectures or symposia, present a recital, or engage in whatever activities are agreeable to the visitor and host unit.

Those chosen include, Shelley Binder, Katie Johnson, Alexander Lapins, Patrick Grzanka, Stuart Brotman, Jerzy Dydak, Bertin Louis, Ron Taylor and Xiaopeng Zhao.
