Hodges Library becomes a showcase of undergraduate research this week as the 19th Annual Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement (EURēCA) takes over the commons areas on the first and second floors.
EURēCA promotes research and creative activities by currently enrolled undergraduate students in collaboration with a University of Tennessee, Knoxville faculty mentor. Entries can be individual or group projects and are judged by a panel of UT faculty members. The Office of Undergraduate Research coordinates this unique competition to encourage, support, and reward undergraduate participation in the campus research enterprise. An added value is the development of faculty mentoring relationships.
Judging will take place Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. An awards Ceremony will be held in the University Center Ballroom from 6- 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14.
Exhibits will remain on display Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for public viewing. While there, have your photo taken with Smokey on the first floor from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. Afterward, students can enjoy a free pizza lunch from the Office of Undergraduate Research from 11-noon.
EURēCA is the highlight of Research Week, an extended celebration and promotion of undergraduate research at the University of Tennessee.
