The Society for History in the Federal Government awarded its Thomas Jefferson Prize to The Papers of Andrew Jackson: Volume X, 1832, a project that has obtained photocopies of every known and available Jackson document, at a ceremony at the National Archives in Washington earlier this month. Volume X of the Jackson Papers was edited by UT Department of History faculty members Daniel Feller, Thomas Coens, and Laura-Eve Moss.

The University of Tennessee Libraries has won a prestigious award honoring library public relations for its “Information is Our Game” awareness campaign. The UT Libraries is one of only eight libraries in the U.S. and Canada to receive the 2017 John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award.

Ron Ford (HCB, ’84) was presented with an Accomplished Alumni Award on April 20 by Stephen L. Mangum, dean and Stokely Foundation Leadership Chair at the Haslam College of Business.

The student team, including seniors Emma Bexon, John Robinson and Zachary Thress, from the Haslam College of Business recently won the annual Intermodal Association of North America’s logistics and supply chain case competition for the second year in a row. Haslam students have won or placed second every year they have entered the competition since 2010.
