How To Use This Site

This website has been arranged to showcase the research capacity on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Each Organized Research Unit (ORU) on campus with an entry in this catalog will be identified by the title of its institute, center, department or program. The summary that follows the title will describe program characteristics, areas of research, faculty and staff, and contact information. This information can be revised at any time; the latest posting date is shown immediately under the title.

Categories have been assigned to the research entities in order to showcase the interdisciplinary nature of ORUs. The website has an internal search function that allows full text search of all indexed data, including search by Category. Search results are shown ten to a page, with the search term highlighted and relevance score given. The site can also be searched using the Tags listed at the end of each summary.

The site self-generates an A-Z list, which reflects a complete listing of the current entries. This is an easy way to identify and link to any of the research units on the UTK campus.

It is our hope that use of this web-based tool will foster interdisciplinary teams of researchers as this dynamic and searchable catalog reflects overlapping research interests of disparate groups on campus. Please consider bookmarking this site and using it to identify future collaborators.
