Radiation Safety Team Receives High Marks on Inspections

In the compliance world, no news really is good news. Often, the university community tends to forget about all the people working diligently every day to make sure our work environs are safe and up to code.

Over the past week, campus has been inspected by the Division of Radiological Health, with the State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

This governmental inspection resulted in “no issues of non-compliance” and the majority of the conversation focused on positive accolades for the competency and collaboration of all members of the team across campus.

The parting words of the lead inspector spoke to the professionalism and capability of the Radiation Safety Team: “You have an exceptional team that you should be proud of!”

Join us in thanking the Radiation Safety staff, Marsha Smith, Shawn Drake, Barbara Hall, Eddie Seabright and Shannon Treece.
